The Fort Payne City Board of Education announces the following vacancies in the Fort Payne City School System.  Application forms may be obtained by contacting the Fort Payne City Board of Education, P.O. Box 681029, Fort Payne, Alabama, (256) 845-0915.  Applications should be submitted to this same address.  Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.  Vacancies are posted on a designated bulletin board in the following locations: Wills Valley Elementary School, Williams Avenue Elementary School, Fort Payne Middle School, Fort Payne High School, Maintenance/Transportation Facility and the Central Office.  The Fort Payne Board of Education is an equal opportunity employer.

Substitute CNP Workers

Performs all Child Nutrition related duties as assigned by the Lunchroom Manager

Demonstrate aptitude for successful performance of CNP worker schedule

Sub Pay Schedule

$51 full day  (7 hours)

$29 half ( 3.5 hours)

System-Wide

Substitute Bus Drivers

Transport students to and from school and perform all duties assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.

Proper CDL for public school transportation with a school bus endorsement certificate issued by the ALSDE

Sub Pay Schedule

$38 full route

$19 half route

System-Wide

Special Education Teacher-Vision Impaired

Implement IEP’s for  students with visual impairments

Teacher Certification in the area of  Special Education – Vision Impairment

 

 

Teacher Salary Schedule

System-Wide

Extended Day Homework Aide

Help students with daily homework assignments

Local High School Senior or College Student to assist with homework and other duties as assigned by the director.  Experience working with children preferred but not required.   Must pass background check as well as employee drug test.  Be available to start work on April 25, 2014

$7.50 per hour

A.M. 5:30 – 7:30

(2 hours) and

P.M. 3:00 – 5:30

(2 ½  hours)

5 days per week until the expiration of the

Williams Avenue Elementary

School

CNP Custodian

Fulfil all custodial duties assigned by the lunchroom manager and/or school principal.  Heavy lifting may be required.

Experience in custodial work preferred.

Based on the placement on the CNP staff salary schedule.

Fort Payne High School

Custodian

Perform the duties of school custodian as listed on the job description

Custodial experience preferred

Law Public Safety, Corrections and Security Teacher
